The first 60% of this was utterly devoured by me， in that way where you're so absorbed and then you check your progress and realise you should have been asleep ages ago and you're read 60% without coming up for air。 Then， unfortunately， it just got a little repetitive and the last third made me knock off a star。Brex and Warwick are absolute perfection an dby far the best thing about this series。 Whilst there is an element of over the top absurdity to their dynamic， it is the sort of relationship The first 60% of this was utterly devoured by me， in that way where you're so absorbed and then you check your progress and realise you should have been asleep ages ago and you're read 60% without coming up for air。 Then， unfortunately， it just got a little repetitive and the last third made me knock off a star。Brex and Warwick are absolute perfection an dby far the best thing about this series。 Whilst there is an element of over the top absurdity to their dynamic， it is the sort of relationship that is a real guilty pleasure for me - the sort where they'd burn the entire world down for each other - and I really， really love them。 The side characters are great， too， although there's not much of them here。The trouble with this book is it is all just going over old ground plot wise。 Yes， obviously there are developments to the over-arching plot with Istavan and the nectar， but the way it is executed feel a bit redundant， to the point where the horror and torture if it all lost all impact for me when she was captured for the third time。 There is a lot of dark content with beatings， torture， imprisonment， medical experimentation， death and implied （though of it has happened it's off page） rape。 But I feel like there's only so much of that you cna read before it looses some of it's power to horrify you as much。 I did find myself skimming towards the end。There was also a betrayal that was far too obvious and Brexley's behaviour at the end was a tad predictable， but I really have enjoyed the hell out of this series and am eager for the final book！ 。。。more

Wow！Wow！ This book was crazy good。 How much can one person take is right！ Between holding my breath and the emotional rollercoaster， I am a wreck。 I love reading how the bond between Brexley & Warwick is growing stronger。 Can’t wait for the next book。

Could not， would not， put down。I have been on the edge of my seat for each and every book in this series。 This particular book was no exception。 Fast paced and jam packed full of small moments， which gives the reader a look at the world and characters Brown has created。 I could not stop reading。 I couldn’t eat。 I couldn’t sleep。 I must have the next book！

SighI honestly don’t know if I’ll continue with the next installment。 I want so badly to really enjoy these books but each one feels like a chore to complete。 The story has such potential but the plot is predictable， unorganized， and shallow。 More prison。 More torture/abuse。 More explosions to escape。 Recapture。 It’s just all so repetitive that it doesn’t really feel like things are going anywhere。 I’m trying SMB， really I am， but I may be throwing in the towel。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Very rarely do I write a review。 But， this book warrants a review。 Three main points below。1。 I’m all for smutty scenes。 But， in my opinion， these scenes didn’t add anything to the plot （See #2）。 For example， at one point I thought to myself， “Oh， that’s great。 Your friends are being tortured in prison while you guys can’t stop f*****g。”2。 What plot？ The same recycled storylines。 This book did nothing to advance the plot。 I specifically remember looking at the remaining pages on my iPad and it s Very rarely do I write a review。 But， this book warrants a review。 Three main points below。1。 I’m all for smutty scenes。 But， in my opinion， these scenes didn’t add anything to the plot （See #2）。 For example， at one point I thought to myself， “Oh， that’s great。 Your friends are being tortured in prison while you guys can’t stop f*****g。”2。 What plot？ The same recycled storylines。 This book did nothing to advance the plot。 I specifically remember looking at the remaining pages on my iPad and it said “100 pages left。” What could happen in the next 100 pages？ Nothing of substance。 3。 Character Development （or lack there of）。 What happened to the strong， kick-ass， female lead from Book 1？ Now she’s scared of her own power/strength？ She’s had 3 books to learn how to use it/become accustomed to it。 Instead of leaning into it， she runs away （literally）。 OOOOOOKAY。 But， don’t worry， we have a man that’ll go and “save” her。 I will most likely read Book 5 since I can’t not finish a series。 But， my god， if I’m going to read a 400 page book， let’s get some resolution， character development and advance the plot line。 。。。more

I was super excited for this book and although I still loved it， I felt it was slightly redundant。 It felt like the same thing kept happening and I feel like Brexley and Warwicks relationship is missing depth; they barely even have conversations。 I also missed the secondary characters that I love so much。 Brexley also seems to have taken a step back in her character development which I hope she overcomes with flair。 I did love the book overall， and I can’t wait to see how it ends！

LOVE this book。 Its a fast read for sure。 This book definitely adds to the plot。 Some parts definitely felt redundant and the same thing kept happening over and over。 Overall， loved it and looking forward to the next。
